Snorre Export Topside and Robustness contract to Aibel
Statoil has awarded Aibel a modification contract for the Snorre A and Snorre B platform. The value of the contract is approximately MNOK 400.
The scope of the contract is engineering, procurement, fabrication and installation of major modification work on the Snorre platforms related to Snorre Export and Robustness.
Snorre A
* Modifications to Vigdis 3rd stage separator/ prod. water transfer
* Snorre A oil export to Snorre B, new pig launcher, piping and valves
* Snorre A preparation for new riser
* Fiscal metering bypass with new flow meter
* New export pump for oil export to Snorre B
* Vigdis x-over, new crossover pumps and flowmeter
Snorre B
* Snorre B oil import from Snorre A, module sections with equipments
* New oil import gas-to-oil heat exchanger
* Preparation for new oil import riser
* Snorre B reuse of existing oil steam heater (not been in use before)
In addition there are several possible options in this contract.

The contract has a relative long duration, with start up of engineering immediately and commencement of offshore work in February 2011. The project duration will be for a period of approximately three (3) years, conducted in parallel with full operations on the platform. The project will be executed out of Haugesund.

The manning level for Aibel will be about 100 people and the project will report to business unit Modifications.
Signing of the final contract documents is scheduled for March 2010.
